Join us for our six virtual visits to monasteries!
As we have not been able to have a conference in 2020, we have planned a series of six virtual visits to monasteries around the world. Each session takes place on a Thursday at 19:00 BST, with a presentation by someone who knows the monastery well. There will be time for questions!
In the first of the series, Fr Tikohn (Vasilyev) will introduce us to Holy Dormition St Nicholas St Basil Monastery, Ukraine Recording
Annunciation Monastery, Ormylia, Greece will be described to us by professional storyteller Anna Conomos Edited recording
The beautiful painted monastery of Putna in Romania will be described to us by married couple Andreea and Morys Ireland Recording
Dr Anna Rogozhina will tell us about Optina Monastery in Russia, home of the famed Optina Elders whose morning prayer is renowned
The monastery of the Transfiguration in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania in the USA will be described to us by Mother Seraphima – monasticism in the New World
Amal Morcos will talk to us about the monastic revival in Lebanon, especially Kaftoun and Hamatoura monasteries
There is no fee for taking part in these sessions. However, the Fellowship will be making a donation to each of the monasteries featured in the series. You can add your own donation to this amount using PayPal (you do not need to have an account), and donations will be split equally between the monasteries.
You may also find our resources in the time of coronavirus helpful.
